Swara Bhasker: A casting director asked me why I was wearing a 'bedcover'

Actress Swara Bhasker is the latest guest on mid-day.com’s Mumbai Meri Jaan. Sharing her early memories of the city, the actress told mid-day.com, “I remember going for my first audition, I was from Delhi and a total jhalla. I got my first facial after coming to Mumbai, I had never done a manicure, pedicure or anything. I was quite a basic girl but I thought I was wearing my best Delhi haat kurta at that audition. The casting director asked me if I was an assistant director and I said I was an actor. She asked me, ‘Why are you wearing a bedcover?’Ofcourse I didn’t get the part!”
