The song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the upcoming Kannada film KD: The Devil has sparked a controversy over its alleged vulgar lyrics. It triggered outrage on social media and elsewhere and has now disappeared from the official YouTube page. Now, singer Mangli, who has sung the song, took to social media to issue an apology. She also said that a revised version of the song would be released.

Mangli took to Instagram and wrote in her post, “Out of respect for public sentiment, the song has been removed from all platforms. I sincerely apologise to each and every one of you for the unintended mistake. It was never meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments, and we truly regret the oversight."
