In the 4-hour-long podcast with a famous YouTuber, he spoke about his personal life. Amid this, an old interview of actress Sameera Reddy has emerged, wherein she spoke about his special role at her wedding. 

Sameera Reddy reveals Vijay Mallya did her kanyadaan

During a 2014 interview with DNA, the actress revealed that it was Vijay Mallya who performed the kanyadaan at her wedding. She said, “Only Vijay Mallya, who is related from my mother’s side, gave me away to the groom. That apart, there were only friends and family." Notably, although Sameera and Vijay do not share a direct blood relative, Mallya is connected through the actress' maternal side. Hence, he walked her down to the mandap.
