Paresh Rawal’s The Taj Story faces a PIL alleging it spreads fabricated narratives. The Delhi High Court will hear the plea today (October 30). Reacting to the controversy, Rawal said the film reveals the truth behind the monument’s history

Paresh Rawal The Taj Story
The Taj Story, starring Paresh Rawal, has found itself in legal soup ever since the first glimpse was released. After the trailer was out, a PIL was filed claiming it attempts to spread fabricated narratives. However, the Delhi HC quashed the claims and even refused an urgent hearing on the matter. Now, the hearing is all set to take place today after Paresh Rawal also reacts to the matter.
The PIL contended that the film “spreads fabricated and misleading narratives” about the origins of the Taj Mahal and “seeks to promote divisive and politically motivated interpretations of history.” It further alleges that the filmmakers, including C.A. Suresh Jha, Tushar Amrish Goel, and Saurabh M. Pandey, have a record of producing "controversial and divisive films."
