Veteran actor and dancer Kalpana Iyer, fondly remembered as the original “Rambha Ho Ho Ho” girl, is overwhelmed with gratitude after her iconic song was revived in Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar. The song, which featured in the 1981 film Armaan, has found a new audience decades later after being used in a high-octane sequence in the Ranveer Singh–starrer, sparking nostalgia and renewed appreciation for Kalpana’s performance.
Sharing her reaction, Kalpana revealed that she first found out about the song’s revival through friends and acquaintances. “So many people started calling and messaging me saying, ‘Your song is playing again, and we are remembering you,’” she said, adding that the moment was deeply emotional for her. “I just became emotional and extremely grateful. It feels surreal that something I did so many years ago is being celebrated again.”
