As fans and media finished watching the much-hyped ‘Rama’ glimpse from Ramayana, the captain of the ship, a visibly overwhelmed Nitesh Tiwari addressed the crowd, and opened up about the last seven years that he has spent making the epic.

In the morning, the over two-minute long teaser that introduced Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram was screened at a theatre in South Mumbai. The makers not only invited media but also fans, who queued up in large numbers. Reacting to the applause that followed the screening, Tiwari said, “Is moment tak pohochne mei mujhe personally saat saal lag chuke hain. Filmmaking is a very speculative as well as a lonely process. Every moment of these seven years I have imagined this moment as to what the reaction would be when it finally comes out. And today seeing your reaction I feel those seven years were worth it,” he said, even as his voice broke.
