Kareena Kapoor Khan has been a part of the film industry for over two decades and continues to be at the top of her game. The mother of two also maintains a disciplined lifestyle, following a clean diet and workout routine. At 44, her routine is also `monastic`, she says. In an interview, the actress opened up about her fitness routine that is well-suited to her needs. These include having dinner at 6:30 pm and going to bed by 9:30 pm.
“Dinner by 6 pm, lights out by 9:30 pm, morning workouts before the world wakes up,” says Kareena in conversation with The Nod magazine. So how does she maintain a social life with this schedule? "My friends know not to expect me at parties. And they respect that. They know I’ll be watching Schitt’s Creek on low volume!” Kareena added.
Kapoor credits this shift in her fitness pattern to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says that phase changed something in her. “If I don’t work out, I’m in a bad mood. Post-COVID, I realised how important fitness is—not for vanity, but for well-being. It’s my mood stabiliser, my anchor.” For her fitness needs, Kapoor swears by yoga, walking, and strength training.
