Indian rapper and singer Karan Aujla had placed a bet of CA$500,000 (Rs 3,11,15,000) on Preity Zinta's team, Punjab Kings, ahead of the IPL 2025 final in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The Tauba Tauba singer revealed this through his Instagram stories. However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's victory over PBKS to clinch the trophy cost Aujla over Rs 3 crore.

Karan loses Rs 3 crore

On Tuesday, RCB defeated PBKS by 6 runs to clinch their maiden IPL title. Reportedly, millions of dollars’ worth of bets were placed on the final — including wagers on the winning team, best player, most runs scored, and even the outcome of individual deliveries. 

With Punjab being on the losing side, Karan lost Rs 3 crore on the bet he had placed. If the team had won, he stood the chance of earning nearly Rs 6 crore.
