Singer and actress Iulia Vantur got the rare opportunity to perform at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall. She sang Hindi and Romanian songs at the function which was also graced by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. The singer chose the popular song Teri Meri from the film Bodyguard featuring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. to sing at the event.
Iulia's performance marked the first time a Bollywood song was sung at the Vatican, in the presence of the Pope and other esteemed guests. She also got the chance to meet The Pope. Reflecting on the meeting, she said, “Meeting the Pope was an experience beyond words. His presence radiates warmth and kindness. It filled me with gratitude and a deep sense of calm and reminded me that true faith lies in compassion, humility, and human connection.”
