Music composer and rapper Honey Singh has always openly spoken about his struggle with substance abuse. Over time, he overcame it and worked on himself to become a better version of who he once was. In a recent interview, Singh revealed that it took eight years for drugs to leave his system.

Honey Singh on battling drug addiction

Speaking to NDTV, Honey was asked what advice he would give to his younger self. Responding to the question, he said, “The Honey Singh 15–20 years back was also very intelligent and ambitious, but he made one big mistake, he did drugs. And he got influenced by them. That damaged me a lot. I tell all my younger brothers and sisters to stay away from drugs, especially dry drugs.”
