With just days left for its Diwali release, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Thamma has completed its certification process. However, reports suggest that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested minor changes, including muting the word “Ashwathama”, replacing “Alexander” with “Sikandar”, and altering “Azaadi doonga” to “Aiyaashi karata hoon”. The board also directed the makers to “reduce the slurping sound of drinking blood to minimum” and trim a kissing scene by five seconds. Following these modifications, Thamma received a ‘U/A 16+’ certificate, with an approved runtime of almost 150 minutes. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the horror comedy releases on October 21.
