Farah Khan, a filmmaker, recently visited Shruti Haasan`s Mumbai home for her culinary vlog, and the chat turned into a funny walk down memory lane. Farah said that she had invited Shruti`s father, actor Kamal Haasan, to play a key role in one of her films starring Shah Rukh Khan, only to have him turn it down in his own unique style.
Farah made her directorial debut with Shah Rukh Khan`s Main Hoon Na, which co-starred Zayed Khan, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao, and Suniel Shetty. In a recent vlog, the filmmaker disclosed that she first offered Kamal Haasan the role of Raghavan Dutta, the antagonist.
Farah Khan revealed that her first choice for Main Hoon Na was Kamal Haasan. She told Shruti, "Kamal sir was my first choice for Main Hoon Na, but then Suniel Shetty played that role. I went to Chennai to his office and narrated him the script, and he politely asked me to duck off." However, Farah didn`t reveal the reason why the veteran actor turned down the project.
