In ‘Taare Zameen Par’, Darsheel Safary played the character of Ishaan Awasthi, an 8-year-old boy with dyslexia. In the film, Aamir Khan played the role of art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who helped Ishaan work on himself. The film was Darsheel's most loved movie. The actor later worked on numerous films, including ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’, ‘Zokkomon’, and ‘Capital A Small A’.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Darsheel opened up about whether he ever felt that Aamir hasn't pushed his career after 'Taare Zameen Par.' The actor shared, “Not at all! I am very shy. I get awkward with these things. I can’t tell you how many times I have been told, ‘Are you in touch with Aamir uncle? Drop him a text, call him, this and that.’ But I feel shy doing this. I don’t know how to put it in words. It should always happen organically.”
