Writer director B R Ishara passed away yesterday. He had been ailing for a while and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Juhu

Ishara’s films including Chetna, Hum Do Hamare Do, Charitra, Aurat, Kaaran. He introduced stars like Parveen Babi, Bappi Lahri and cricketer Salim Durrani in films. He is survived by his actress wife Rehana Sultan who featured in his film Chetana.
