Wheres the director?

Shaapit trailers are running in Mumbai, but the filmmaker is in London

Though select theatres have been showcasing the trailers of Vikram Bhatt'su00a0Shaapit along with 3 Idiots, the producer-director himself is missing in action!

Before the show-reel of his romantic thriller production, hit the screens, Bhatt took off for the US and UK for a long vacation.

On extended hols
Speaking from London he says, "I am on an extended holiday. I was in Los Angeles, then New York and now in the UK. I needed a New Year's break before giving Shaapit that final push."
When asked with whom he is travelling he replies, "Let that remain a mystery."

His directorial venture Shaapit with which he completes his horror trilogy after Raaz and 1920 will be his next release.

Though in a chillax mode, Bhatt has been taking time especially off to soak in theatre. "I saw a play at Broadway called Race which is written and directed by David Mamet with James Spader heading the cast. It is a stunning play. Now I am catching Wicked the Musical on West End in London."

Just posters used
As reported 'Phirr-acy' (Hitlist, December 21), his ASA Production folk had to spend several anxious moments when word was that pirated DVDs of Phirrr were out in the market. But his production team claim that only Phirrr's poster was being used as the pirated CDs contained an English film.

Directed by Girish Dhamija, Phirrr features Bhatt's 1920 duo Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma along with Roshni Chopra. While Shaapith marks the debut of Aditya Narayan along with Shweta Agarwal.
Bhatt is slated to be back in Mumbai this weekend.
