Actress Shruti Haasan, who's presently busy shooting for a film down South, believes that the minute you are in sync with your body, mind and soul, you automatically start being healthy.

Dancing away the calories
I believe in feeling healthy from the inside and being light on my feet. This can be achieved with a balanced diet and a series of good work-outs. My fitness regime varies as I'm scared of monotony and get bored very easily. So I need to keep my interest levels up all the time.

I do a basic cardio work-out in the gym. But I truly love working-out to dance videos or some other creative activity, like pilates and core strengthening routines. Dancing is probably my favourite form of exercise, and I've recently taken to it a lot more than before. Zumba is also a very interesting, fun way to stay fit and I'm enjoying it at the moment.

Changing tastes
I think a good diet is very crucial to the holistic idea of fitness. I love foodu00a0-- all kinds of healthy and unhealthy fare! So when I want to see and feel a difference, I alter my diet a bit and it works wonders for me. I up my protein intake and cut out rice and fried foods entirely. Sometimes, I like to go on an all-vegetarian diet for a bit, just so that my body can detox.

Fresh energy
I've realised that if I'm stressed about something, nothing relaxes me more than a superb work-out. But I like to unwind at the end of the day by doing really regular stuff like reading and listening to music.

To me, rejuvenation is about spending time alone and with friends. Basically, the idea is to be around positive peopleu00a0-- the sort who uplift you, empower you and just make you happy. Breaks and getaways make a huge difference too. You end up returning to work with a fresh perspective and new vigour and energy.
