Before the music release of Taare Zameen Par and Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Naa, Khan personally made a trip to Shammi's residence and gave him the first copy of the film's soundtrack. With his forthcoming release, Peepli [Live], the actor plans to do the same.

A source reveals that Khan will be visiting Kapoor tomorrow afternoon before the official music release in the evening. "Aamir doesn't want to break tradition. He has done it with TZP and JTYJN and wants to do it for Peepli [Live] as well. He considers Shammiji to be part of his family. Since the veteran actor has to undergo dialysis, Aamir will check his schedule and making the visit accordingly. Anusha Rizvi, the director of Peepli [Live] will also join him."

The music launch in the evening will feature live performances by Indian Ocean and part of the cast as well. The Mehengai Dayan song that talks about the rising cost of living has already become popular before release and will be performed live. "We have villagers from Badvaai, a place near Bhopal, who will sing the song with Raghubir Yadav. Besides them, Habib Tanvir's daughter Nageen will also perform her song."
