The actor was here to make a formal announcement regarding edutainment theme park KidZania here when he was asked whether he feels that his 'intolerance' remark made people conscious in the society.

Shah Rukh responded: "I feel there is a specific platform for everything. Here we are talking about kids, so it would be good to talk about this on a platform where it is being discussed." Earlier, the 'Happy New Year' star had said: “I do think there is intolerance. There is extreme intolerance."

His views were then criticised by many politicians and the film fraternity. Apart from Shah Rukh, superstar Aamir Khan also said during an event last year that there is “growing despondency” in India. On the film front, Shah Rukh, who was last seen on the silver screen in 'Dilwale', has films like 'Fan' and 'Raees' slated for release this year.
