Though Rajkumar Santoshi has been roped in to direct a film for Aanand L Rai's production house, he has not yet given up on The Battle Of Saragarhi. His directorial venture, starring Randeep Hooda, was announced in 2016 but failed to take off. Santoshi now claims the film will roll in Kazakhstan next month.
A 45-day schedule has been planned. The film is based on the battle between Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen in 1897. He says he will kickstart his project with Rai after he wraps up The Battle Of Saragarhi. Let's wait and watch.
