Priyanka Chopra was supposed to be the guest judge on Nach Baliye on this week's episode. The actress had confirmed to the channel that she would be a part of the show.

She was slated to shoot on Monday for the Friday episode. A source from the channel reveals, "Priyanka was in constant talks with us after confirming her presence.

She wanted to know everything from the format to what media would cover the event. Normally, she doesn't make so many inquiries for a TV appearance but on her show appearance, she was caught off guard, so she wanted to be prepared."

Because of Amrita

Also, PC wasn't too thrilled on learning that Amrita Rao was a guest judge on the episode following her. "She's very particular about her appearances on TV shows.

Initially she thought that she would be the only guest judge on this weekend's episode. However after learning about Amrita's appearance she was in two minds."

Even though channel authorities are tight-lipped about the issue, a Star Plus official said on the condition of anonymity, "It was unprofessional on Priyanka's part to drop out at the last minute.

Had she informed us before about her mom's studio, we would've approached someone else. In fact, she told us that she was busy working."

Scheduling conflicts

When contacted, a source close to Priyanka says, "We had scheduling conflicts and the channel was well informed that she couldn't make it.

As far as her mom's clinic is concerned, she will definitely support it. No one can question her professionalism."
