Narendra Kumar sets shop in Khar

After more than 15 years in the fashion business, designer Narendra Kumar will be launching his flagship store in Mumbai.

"The idea of launching a flagship store is to highlight the vision of the designer apart from just the clothes. Trends, with clothes, keep changing. The store however reflects the style of the designer," Kumar tells us.

"The theme of the store is purity and simplicity. We live in a crowded city, there is so much clutter, everyone needs his or her own little oasis and that is what we have tried to create in the store," he adds.

The designer has a keen interest in interiors and chose to design the store himself. "When you hire a professional, a lot of times, your ideas get lost in translation," Kumar explains.

The store will also see Kumar's latest Spring Summer 2015 Collection. "The collection this year, brings back a fun era of fashion. It has a lot of 1970s inspired bohemian looks including the return of the bell-bottom pants. This trend is currently big, worldwide. For men, smart casuals and sportswear inspired looks is the pick of the season," reveals Kumar
