After his cameo in Aashayein, wants to resume acting

Nagesh Kukunoor has done a cameo in his upcoming release Aashayein. The last film in which he had enacted a full-fledged role was Hyderabad Blues 2 (2004). The director will again be seen facing the camera with John Abraham, but this time, he will play a bookie. Nagesh admits that he's been getting numerous acting offers and is seriously considering taking up acting again.

What roles has he been rejecting? "I recently got an offer to play the role of a husband, but it was too simple and linear. I need a challenge, something rewarding enough to tackle." Presently in Chandigarh doing a recce for his next film, he adds, "My next as a director will be a small love story. We are looking at several locations around here, and it was also a great excuse to get out of Mumbai."

Relieved
About the long-delayed release of Aashayein, Nagesh says, "It's difficult and agonising to wait for your film to release. There was a delay with my other film Bollywood Calling as well, but not to this extent. I think the only emotion I have before the release of my film is immense relief."
