Mugdha and boyfriend Mithun still together
Though the modelling circuit is abuzz about Mugdha Godse and Mithun Purandare's couple status, B-Town is just getting the whiff of the Fashion actress's romance with the model and aspiring actor.
The Fashion girl, who is determined to make it in Hindi filmdom, is keen to keep her personal life under wraps. Says a source, "Now that Mugdha has bagged another project (Jail) with Madhur Bhandarkar, she is extremely focussed on her career. She does not want her personal life to affect her starry trek."
Different starts
Mithun and Mugdha have known each other for the last few years. Both began as ramp models and featured in a remix music video in 2004 that was directed by Jagdish Mali. Though Mugdha had a debut with much fanfare in Fashion, Mithun has done forgettable flicks like Kaash... Hamara Dil Pagal Na Hota and Mumbai Godfather.
Adds the source, "When she bagged Fashion, the scenario changed drastically. The relationship was a bit strained as Mugdha would devote all her time and energies to Fashion. While Mithun was busy with his shows and short films. Then suddenly at parties, he went missing from her side."
The source continues, "Soon after Fashion's release, Mugdha took her time to sign on another project. With time and success on hand, she decided to redo her home at Seven Bungalows as reported ('No roof over Mugdha's head'; Hitlist, December 12). As a result, even after the film's release, the actress was tied up in redecorating her home for weeks.
Though the couple might have just drifted away, those close to the two say that both are too much in love to call it quits.
