Kareena wants new home to avoid peeping toms

Kareena Kapoor has put her existing flat on sale and her other apartment to rent out and is currently searching for a house that's either a penthouse apartment or a place where she can protect her
privacy.

Real estate brokers from Bandra and Khar told MiD DAY that the actress, who currently lives in Rose Queen Apartments, owns two flats in the building.

"She is selling her sixth-floor apartment and renting out her tenth-floor apartment," said an agent. The carpet area of the actress's flat is 2,300 square feet. According to Vibhoo Mehra, a real estate agent, "Kareena will not earn less than Rs 4 lakh for the tenth- floor flat that she wishes to give out on rent."

The buzz among the real estate agents is that Kapoor is looking only at penthouse apartments. One estate agent on the condition of anonymity, said, "She has already seen few apartments including a building on 15th Road, Khar and other buildings near Khar Gymkhana. Her looking at top-floor apartments might be a move to protect her privacy."

Kareena was very fond of her 15th road apartment. However, tall buildings started cropping across the road,
allowing neighbours to peek into her apartment. This is supposed to be the reason behind her shift. One broker said, "The apartment is centrally located but privacy does get affected, as many other buildings surround it. However, it's not a big enough deal for one to change the house. But, the bigger the star, the bigger the tantrum."

Despite several attempts to contact Kareena to confirm reports, we were unable to get in touch with her.
