Jimmy Sheirgill, who was last seen in 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', will be out of action for a while as his mother passed away yesterday. The actor was supposed to start the shoot of his next film with Bruna Abdullah in Bangkok.

However, the schedule was cancelled at the last minute when Jimmy’s mother’s health deteriorated and she had to be hospitalised.

Says a source working on the film, “The cast and crew members were ready to fly to Bangkok, but they were informed about a change in plan at the last minute. Jimmy had to rush home when he heard about his mother’s hospitalisation. He requested the director (Anwar) to delay the schedule due to his emergency. Now, the entire unit is deeply saddened by the news of his mother passing away.”

In a text message, a grief-stricken Jimmy says, “My mother is no more.”
