The trailer of Rani Mukerji's Hichki, which released yesterday, seems to be adapted from the Hollywood film, Front Of The Class (2008).

Directed by Peter Werner and written by Brad Cohen, it was about a boy with Tourette's syndrome who overcomes criticism to achieve his dream of becoming a teacher. Rani's character in Siddharth P Malhotra's directorial venture is similar.


Tourette syndrome causes patients to have sudden, uncontrolled movements or sounds, repetitively. Despite the similarities, Twitterati welcomed the talented actor back after a gap and referred to her as the original queen of Bollywood.
