The four-day Mumbai International Food and Beverages Exhibition and Conference 2010 (MIFBEC 2010) is scheduled to kick start on October 21 at the MMRDA Exhibition Grounds, Mumbai.

The four-day Mumbai International Food and Beverages Exhibition and Conference 2010 (MIFBEC 2010) is scheduled to kick start on October 21 at the MMRDA Exhibition Grounds, Mumbai. The event is organised by India-Tech Foundation, and jointly organised by Winmark Services Pvt Ltd.

"The first of its kind, this exhibition and conference has been worked on the principles of 'Building Brand Equity' and will be recognised as MIFBEC," says Ashish Gupta, project director, Winmark Services. "This exhibition will provide an opportunity to explore Indian food and beverages market which is emerging as the one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian retail industry spread across a vast population base, growing middle class and strong macroeconomic environment," he adds.

A concurrent conference on the future of foods, technology, wellness and nutrition, as well as food tasting and sampling will be held at the same venue. The theme for the conference is 'Global Outreach of Indian Food Industry.'

Kamat Hotels Ltd are the diamond sponsor and Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India (AFSTI-Mumbai Chapter) and Connaissance Solutions are knowledge partners for the conference.

This exhibition and conference is expected to be visited by various retailers, traders, importers and dealers in food products, medical and nutritionist consultants, packaged and processed food manufactures etc.
