Shillpi Sharma who is gearing up for the release of her latest film Right Yaa Wrong, is a complete globetrotter. But while she is very fascinated by historical places, she can't stop recounting stories of her recent trip to Dubai. She shares her travel experience with CS:
Bowled over by Burj
I visited Dubai in November last year. The experience was out of the world and what made it even more special was the fact that I was travelling alone. I could do whatever I wanted, go anywhere and enjoy some me-time. Even though this wasn't my first time in Dubai, I had a blast once again.
This time I stayed at the Burj-Al-Arab. I visited the Atlantis, which has a tower inside the building. I enjoyed the desert safari in the day and partied hard at the night.u00a0 I particularly enjoyed boogeying at the nightclub, 300 that was full of foreigners. I also went skiing in the stadium of the Emirates Mall that has artificial ice and snowfall.
Shop hopping
The place where I was staying was really scenic. On one side I could see the beach, while on the other I could see the bay with a private yacht club and behind it were the towering buildings. It was such a rich sight. The wide roads were also a welcome change, as were the beautiful sand dunes.
Shopping was my number one priority in Dubai. I couldn't finish checking out one mall in one day. You need to be loaded when you travel to Dubai because there's so much to buy.
My travel memory
The most memorable part of my trip was the dune dashing experience. We drove to the dunes in a jeep, (and they were so steep that they looked like mountains) and then drove back in full speed after reaching the peak. That was by far the scariest experience of the trip!
