Did 'The Chainsmokers' contact Priyanka for song?

Contrary to buzz that Priyanka Chopra had collaborated with American DJs/music producers The Chainsmokers for the second single of her video, our sources say that this particular track is an independent song. It has nothing to do with the actress-singer’s debut music album.u00a0

Our sources added that for the song titled Erase, it was The Chainsmokers duo who in fact contacted PC, requesting a collaboration. The two musicians had apparently been impressed by her first single In My City featuring Will.I.Am and hence decided to do a project with her.

Our source tells us, “It was a very organic process of making the track when PC and The Chainsmokers came together. At times, record label are very strict about not letting their artistes going out and working even before their work is published. However, PC’s label was cool enough to let her go and explore other avenues.”

In the past, The Chainsmokers have spun music for artistes like Jay-Z, Rihanna, Tiesto, Bruno Mars, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Lebron James, Ne-Yo, and Drake.u00a0
