The Movies I Loved Growing Up
The VJ-actor on his pick of flicks..

JUNGLE BOOK: I was obsessed with it and must've seen it 50 times. My favourite was Kaa the snake and Baloo the bear. When I saw it for the first time, I was howling when Mowgli left the animals. I could never understand why he did. I wished I could meet them and hang out with them. It was the first time I felt a strong emotion watching something cinematic.

JAANE BHI DO YAARON:
I used to beat my family members and friends like the character of Ahuja did in the film. I would enact all his scenes including the scene where Ahuja talks to the coffin. When I was doing Delhi-6, I spent hours chatting with Pavan Malhotra, who was the costume designer of Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron and now, is a known actor.

SAHIB BIbI AUR GHULAM: I remember my mom and grandmom watching this film at home. I had never been so haunted by a story before and I didn't completely understand it when I was a kid. But years later, when I revisited I realised what a marvel the story was.

ANGOOR: Gulzarsaab's movie is the most beautiful, classy comedy I've ever seen. I can never get bored of it. It is a true classic. I wish I could get a chance to work with Gulzarsaab. Hope someone plans to remake the film and casts me in it too.

THE PINK PANTHER: I remember watching this comedy as a kid. It used to make me really happy. Even now, if it comes on TV, I still watch it. Thankfully, I haven't yet gone pink after viewing it so many times.
