Last week, the state government had written to Bachchan and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to be the brand ambassadors for its tiger conservation project.

When asked about their remuneration, Maharashtra Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar had reportedly said that the state expected them to be involved without monetary considerations.
