The film has Shruti Haasan as John’s co-star. As John and Shruti feature together in 'Welcome Back', Johnny boy wanted a gap between the two films to avoid a sense of deja vu with the audience.
The story is about a father who never had a daughter and a daughter who never had a father. Sounds intriguing.
