WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025, leaving his fans worldwide grieving and in despair. Now, a week after his death, new details have emerged about the declining health of the WWE star. Latest medical reports have also revealed the actual reason for his death.

Hulk Hogan’s official cause of death

Page Six exclusively confirmed that the wrestling legend died from an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. Additionally, the portal also obtained a document of Hogan's medical history. The document showed he had atrial fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition characterised by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.

According to the District Six Medical Examiner’s record, the former WWE superstar, whose real name was Terry Bollea, also had a history of battling leukaemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. Notably, it is not publicly known that Hogan had ever battled cancer.
