A Family Grown Enterprise with Food at Its Heart
What started as a small, passionate team of just 12 people has grown into a vibrant, multi-layered organization with over 600 employees-each treated as family. Founded by the power duo Anisha Anand and Anant Kumar Ganediwal in 2012, Aurum Foods has always been more than just a catering company. It is a reflection of their values, dreams, and the power of food to connect, heal, and inspire.
Accepting the award on stage, co-founder Anant Kumar Ganediwal shared, “We started Aurum with nothing but belief-in our food, in our people, and in the idea that food is storytelling. Today, seeing this small family of 12 grow into a 600+ strong force makes us believe that when passion meets purpose, anything is possible.”
Anant, a multi-talented entrepreneur with a flair for systems, vision, and growth, has been instrumental in shaping Aurum’s scalability without ever losing its soul. Anisha, with over two decades in the hospitality industry, has infused the brand with refinement, empathy, excellence in service and making culinary style a trend.
Known to create Bespoke Dining Experiences That Spark Emotion
Aurum is celebrated for curating immersive, memory-led dining experiences that go far beyond the plate. Grateful for the tremendous response the last season, they curated over 200 plus weddings and celebrations.
From high-end weddings and intimate soirées to banquets at some of Mumbai most iconic clubs and gymkhanas, Aurum has reinvented how India looks at catering-bringing back pride to club dining and replacing predictability with innovation.
“We don’t just serve food-we tell stories,”Said Anisha Anand. “Every dish, every garnish, every bite is crafted to evoke memory, emotion, and togetherness. That is the heartbeat of Aurum.”
Beyond the Plate: Innovation, Farming, and Empowerment
Adding another vertical to Aurum this season, we are Cultivating Goodness – Agro-Farming with a Mission. In a unique convergence of catering and sustainability, Aurum Foods has also ventured into residue-free organic farming across 27 acres in Maharashtra, this season we cultivated watermelon, dragon fruit, guava, and mangoes. This initiative supports clean food practices to bring back the original “taste “of the produce; while empowering rural farming communities with ethical and long-term livelihood options.
“Our connection with food begins at the root-literally,” Anant noted. “We grow what we serve, and we serve what we believe in.”
Aurum’s food technology and innovation labs are currently developing consistent, sustainability-based food solutions-from gourmet gravies to artisanal products-all created to preserve India’s culinary legacy in modern, scalable formats. A particularly ambitious effort includes the creation of an edible food library-a catalogue of Indian heritage flavors designed to be archived and revived for future generations.
“Innovation, to us, means honouring the past while creating for the future,” said Anisha. “Through food science and storytelling, we want to make sure our grandmothers’ recipes never disappear and we hope to one day have an edible library of heritage flavours.”
Aurum’s commitment doesn’t stop at the table. “we decided to give back to the society all that we imbibed from it “, As part of SBI’s Sashakti initiative, and in collaboration with Advitta NGO in Pune, Aurum has launched women-led food cart programs to uplift and empower lesser-privileged women through entrepreneurship and culinary training. These carts not only serve as income sources but also as platforms of dignity, confidence, and community-building.
“When a woman serves food from her own cart and earns with pride, that’s real success,” Anisha said with emotion. “This award belongs to them too.”
A Vision That’s Just Getting Started
The ‘Caterer of the Year’ award is more than a trophy-it’s a milestone in what promises to be a long, remarkable journey for Aurum Foods. From bold menus to organic farms, from innovation labs to street corners, the company is redefining what it means to be a food business in modern India.
In their closing speech at the ceremony, Anant and Anisha jointly said, “This recognition reaffirms our belief in conscious culinary kitchens”.
We dedicate this award to every hand that chopped, stirred, planted, packed, served, and believed. To our team, to our farmers, to the women we mentor, and to the guests who keep asking for more-we thank you.”
And as the applause echoed across the grand NESCO hall, one thing was certain-Anisha and Anant aren’t just a power couple in food; they are stewards of a movement. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, community, and craft, Aurum Foods continues to redefine the boundaries of India’s premium food landscape-creating not just meals, but movements.
