Golfer Tiger Woods weighed in on the LeBron James free agency debate Tuesday saying he has his own ideas about where the National Basketball Association star should end up next season.
"Yeah, actually I would love to see him go to the (Los Angeles) Lakers," Woods said. I'm an LA guy, can't help it. That would be interesting, wouldn't it?"
James is the most covetted player available entering the NBA free agency period which begins Thursday at 9pm Pacific time (0400 GMT Friday).
This year free agency includes what is considered to be one of the greatest group that's ever been available. NBA clubs have been clearing payroll for years just so they'd be in position to offer maximum salaries to players like James, Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh.

Woods also told reporters Tuesday that his deceased father, Earl Woods, speaks to him during crucial moments in tournaments.
"When I get out there, sometimes I'll even hear his voice coming down the stretch on the back nine. That's pretty neat," Woods said.
