Spain striker David Villa rued his penalty miss against Honduras yesterday, a miss that could have nabbed him a hat-trick, and blamed the pressure of the occasion for the slip up. The Barcelona striker fired a second-half penalty wide of the post having already secured a brace -- the first a superb display of fancy footwork and deadly finishing.
"I missed that penalty due to pressure with the scoreline on 2-0," Villa said. "I have been shooting penalties all my life that the miss was may be because of the pressure."
"Our loss to Switzerland is water under the bridge," Villa added. "We talked about it and bounced back today. We always play under pressure, this is a World Cup and every game is tough."
