Asmi Dukhande scored a brace as Mary Immaculate Girls' (Borivli) beat St Anne's (Borivli) 4-0 in a Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA)-organised Fr Donnelly Challenge Cup league-cum-knockout girls U-14 match at the Naigaon Police Ground in Parel yesterday. Vrinda Panchal opened the scoring for Mary Immaculate in the seventh minute, beating goalkeeper Yavani Redkar at the far post.
Four minutes later, Nishka Billava doubled the lead. Switching sides, the St Anne's girls regrouped and put up a brief fight but Asmi breached their defence to make it 3-0 in the 27th minute. Three minutes later, she added her second goal to seal the win for her team. In another girls' match, St Theresa's (Santacruz) beat Convent Girls High School (Dadar) 1-0. Sanjana Salunkhe scored the lone goal for the Santacruz school.
