Lewis Hamilton considered moving to US for girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he considered moving to the US because of the strain on his relationship with Los Angeles-based pop star girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.

However, the British F1 ace opted to stay in Switzerland because he wanted to be close to his brother, Nic, who has cerebral palsy.

"It's a test of endurance. I'd thought about joining her in the United States, but rejected it. I want to stay in Europe," News of the World quoted him as saying.

"It is important to me to have my family nearby and see my brother regularly.

"It will also be easier later when I have a family. It's a great thing then as grandma and grandpa are always within reach," he added
