South Africa were dismissed for 224 in 47.2 of their 50 overs, after they elected to bat in the third one-day International against West Indies yesterday at Windsor Park.

However, a double blow fromu00a0 lanky fast bowler Morne Morkel pegged back West Indies' chase. West Indies were cruising along nicely at 59 for one but Morkel struck in both his first two overs to reduce the home team to 63 for three in 13.1 overs. Morkel first had opener Dale Richards caught by Jacques Kallis and then won a leg before decision against dangerman Dwayne Bravo.

At the end of 15 overs, West Indies were 70 for three.

It was a must-win game and the West Indies' bowlers and fielders put in their best effort of the series on a placid track in Dominica.

For South Africa, AB de Villiers was in sparkling form once again and scored 70 off 80 balls before being run out.
Opener Hashim Amla and Kallis chipped in with 34 and 31 runs respectively. Kieron Pollard took three wickets.
