Reporters of the Indian television news channels today staged a walk-out from the media enclosure at the Wankhede Stadium here after a couple of them were blacklisted by the ICC from covering the India-Sri Lanka World Cup final.
They were also denied entry into the ground for alleged breach of terms and conditions of the accreditations.
"Two or three channels were blacklisted by the ICC and their reporters denied entry and the rest of us have decided to boycott the final as a show of solidarity," a channel reporter told PTI here.
Late last evening, the ICC, in a change of heart, decided to allow the accredited correspondents of all the TV news channels gain entry for covering the match after threatening to take legal action for the alleged violation of broadcast terms and conditions.
