Steve Snell (34 not out) and James Hildreth (34) held their nerves to steer Somerset to a thrilling 4-wicket victory over Auckland Aces in the qualifying match of Champions League T20. It also put an end to Auckland Aces' aim to qualify for the main round.
In another match, Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) thrashed Leicestershire by 51 runs to become the first teamu00a0 to qualify for the main stage.
Openers Adrian Barath (67) and Lend Simmons (62) forged a 139-run stand and propelled T&T to 168 after captain Darren Ganga opted to bat on a slow wicket. Ravi Rampaul (4-14) then came to the party to reduce Leicester to 117 for nine in 20 overs.
Matches shifted
The four CLT20 ties, which were scheduled to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata was shifted to Hyderabad and Bangalore due to flooding following monsoon rains.
