Portugal's greatest ever player, Eusebio, has expressed his delight at Cristiano Ronaldo making the switch to Real Madrid from Manchester United, and is certain that the winger will be a massive success in Spain reports Goal.com.
The 24-year old put the finishing touches to his protracted move to the Bernabeu for a fee of 80m pounds, achieving a life-long ambition to play for his boyhood heroes.
Eusebio said: "I'm very pleased because Real Madrid is a team that I love a lot in Spain. They are the most important team in the country, just as Benfica are in Portugal and Manchester United in England. I am pleased that Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a contract here, and I'm sure he will succeed in Spanish football."
When asked to describe Ronaldo's abilities, Eusebio said, "I cannot define him. He is now the God of another world. I think this year's Real Madrid will not have problems because at the moment he is the best player in the world."
Ronaldo is expected to make his debut for Real Madrid in the Peace Cup, which takes place in Andalusia at the end of July.
