Bruce was hurt by striker Asamoah Gyan's season-long loan move to United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain for a reputed 200,000 pounds a week - tax-free.
Sunderland also pocketed a ufffd6million loan fee - but Bruce, whose side host Stoke this afternoon, feels Gyan's decision to go sums up the state of the game, the Daily Star reports.
u00a0"The power now is with the players. For all the greatness of the Premier League, money and greed now spirals out of control. If Arsenal can't keep hold of players, we have to accept that Sunderland are going to find it difficult, too. If we're not careful we're going to alienate the man in the street.
