Clarence Seedorf has joined Brazilian side Botafogo on a two-year-deal

The Surinam-born 36-year-old, who ended a 10-year stint at AC Milan this summer and had reportedly been interesting EPL side West Ham, has been given what Botafogo claim is the most lucrative deal ever handed out to a foreign player in Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro-based Botafogo sit eighth in the Campeonato Brasileiro with three wins from six matches.
