India kicked off their four-match one-day international series over West Indies on a winning note u2013 with a 20u2013run victory in Match One at Kingston yesterday.
Set to score 340 to win, the hosts were bowled out for 319 in 48.1 overs. Chris Gayle (37), Runako Morton (42), Ramnaresh Sarwan (45) and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (63) fired at the top for the West Indies. Comeback fast bowler Ashish Nehra and off-spinner Yusuf Pathan were the most successful bowlers for India with three wickets apiece.
