The other two were Vinoo Mankad and Polly Umrigar who achieved the commendable feat against England and West Indies rspctively. Ashwin had taken five for 156 his second five-for in Tests before scoring his maiden century against West Indies on the fourth day of the third and final cricket Test on Friday.
Ashwin achieved the milestone by cutting pacer Ravi Rampaul for a boundary.
In fact it's after 49 years that an Indian cricketer has achieved the feat in a Test match.
