"He's too drunk to come to the police station," said Shahnawaz, one of the representatives from Aman-i-khas, (the luxurious camp near Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan where American pop sensation Kate Perry marries her British beau actor-comedian Russell Brand tonight), when the SP of Sawai Madhopur Kotwali Tara Chand summoned Russell's bodyguard Big Danny late in the evening on Friday.

The 6ft-4 giant, on Friday afternoon, along with another security personnel John, hit three photographers, Mustafa Quereshi (AP), Adnan Abidi (Reuters), Manan (AFP) of international news agencies, because they clicked their pictures when they accidently spotted the celeb camp who like them were busy spotting tigers in the reserve.

While Mustafa and Adnan managed to come out of the brawl unhurt, Manan was hurt above his right eye and was bleeding severely.

Apology

When the journalists decided too file an FIR against the culprit, John along with another security guard Daniel came to apologise to the journalists almost two hours after the SP asked the hotel authorities to send Danny to the police station. "He's an important guest. He can't come. He's partying," said Daniel.

But when the photographers insisted on a written apology from Russell's bodyguard in the presence of the SP in the kotwali, Danny was left with no option but to come and apologise.

It was almost 11, when he arrived, wearing a maroon kurta, chooridaar and turban. He was indeed drunk so much so that he even blew flying kisses to the female reporters that too when he was sitting infront of the SP. In a closed door meeting both the parties decided to drop the grudges.

"Though Danny and his fellows wanted the photographers to apologise too but since they were not at fault so only Danny apologised in written," said the SHO Narayan Daan. Post it, the body guard left for a Bollywood themed party where guests danced on tracks from 70s onwards.

Says one of the witnesses of the brawl, "When Big Danny saw these photographers clicking their pictures, he got out of his car, approached the photogs' car and forcefully took the car keys in his possession. When the driver objected, he started beating him. Then the photogs had to interfere. Danny along with John beat them up too. I even saw one of them running behind these photographers with a Swiss knife."

According to the law, no weapon or object that can hurt animals is allowed on safaris. you can't get out of the car when a tiger has just been spotted (a tiger had crossed the caravans minutes before the brawl), switch it off or take out its keys.

Also, the reserve in divided into zones, and each jeep or gypsy is permitted only in a particular zone. However, the bodyguard forced his driver to even breach these limits so that he can take the case of the photogs.
