The international airport in Beijing has become the country's first to shut down all its smoking rooms, a statement said.
The Beijing Capital International Airport has closed up to 36 smoking rooms in all of its three terminals, the People's Daily reported, citing an airport statement.
Airport officials said the latest anti-smoking measures were introduced to create a healthy travelling environment for passengers.
The airport said it has prepared no-smoking notices and promotional materials to carry out the anti-smoking campaign.
