Australia can rob India of No 2 spot tomorrow

India have moved up to second position on the ICC ODI table following Australia's defeat against South Africa at Port Elizabeth last Monday.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's World Twenty20 champion squad, with 122 points, have surged ahead of Australia (121) and are five behind top of the table South Africa (127).

Australia trail 3-1 in the ongoing ODI five match series against the Proteas but a win in tomorrow's fifth and last game at Johannesburg will lift them to second place again ahead of India.

Meanwhile, Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has been left out of the squad for the one-day series against Pakistan to be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from April 22.

Commenting on Lee's exclusion, selection committee chairman Andrew Hilditch said his panel wants to "take a careful approach" to his return to the one-day team. Dough Bollinger, who missed the series against the Proteas because of injury, will join the squad in the UAE.

Lee's physiotherapist Alex Kountouris added: :Brett's ankle has recovered well from surgery in January this year.
"However, the rehabilitation process is ongoing and, to date, Brett has not bowled sufficiently to allow him to be fit to allow him to resume playing cricket."
