A 12-year-old minor boy from Bhabrekar Nagar, Kandivali (west), drowned on Monday evening at Charkop Lake in Kandivali.
According to sources, the victim was playing with his friends, when he lost his balance and slipped into the lake.
The boy was immediately rushed to the Bhagwati Hospital in Borivali (west), where he was declared dead on arrival.
The police officials at Charkop police station said, "Our police team is investigating the case, we have registered a case of accidental death."
